are chemicals for bad skin or dead skin or what? my friend wants me to get one with her and i dont get the point of them (link)

ok well when i got one it was because i had like a few blemishes and i picked at them and they turned into marks on my face and with a chemical peal it takes off the first layer of skin it hurts but not too bad it will just make your skin really nice after! make sure ou arent allergic to any of the chemical either tht could be really painful but only a few people are allergic
