I just got a job at McDonalds. I am required to wear slip-resistant shoes. I have a few pairs of Etnies and other various skate shoes, that say they have a slip-resistant sole. Would those work? (link)

you should be fine.. i work at applebees and i am required the same thing. no one really has them though - they type their talking about can usually be bought at PAYLESS. their called no slip no skid or something along that lines. but first i'd ask your manager is your shoes that your wearing now are fine or not. just wear them to your first day of work and see if anyone says anything. they can't really yell at you - it's your first day.
