Here's my issue: My Gateway laptop won't turn on! I just got it this past Christmas (so it isn't old).
I'll push the button to turn it on and everything will be normal, but when it gets to the screen that says "Windows XP," it just stays there and will go no further.
I updated Ad-Aware last night and I did a scan, so I really doubt I have a virus... Does anyone know what I should do? (link)

this may sound kind of stupid, but i do it all the time with my laptop, is it plugged in and charged? if its barely charged, then the windows xp screen with come up, and then it will just turn up. so make sure its charged or plugged in
