Advice

Whenever I plug speakers or headphones into my laptop, there is a loud crackling sound over the audio and every few seconds there is a beeping noise. I've tried adjusting the sound settings and they're definitely plugged into the right hole.

What can I do to fix this?

Sounds like theres either a problem with your equipment, OR more likely your headphone jack is loose. Getting somebody to tighten the connection would fix it I should think.
