ok so he obviously still thinks of you too for him to message you if he hasn't heard from you i a while.
Why don't you tell him that you still have strong feelings for him and you need him to either love you back or to stay out of your life completely.
This is messing with your head! It's going to hurt if he chooses to stay away but it will help you in the long run.. It will just make you a stronger person.
If he is always going to be in your life as just a friend it's going to kill you if you see him with another girl. Also he deserves to know how you feel. He could be feeling the same!
Make him aware that you don't want him out of your life! Tell him that you have these feelings for him but if he's not going to take the opportunity to love you back then you need him to leave because it's hurting you more to see and to speak to him knowing that you can't have him and he's right in front of you!
It will be hard and it will hurt to say goodbye if thats what he chooses but you could also be making the biggest mistake of your life by not letting him know that you love him.. he could be feeling the sam as what you are but doesn't know how to ask you back!
