ok so its summer break and i am a future sophmore. last night i forgot to throw away the garbage and my mom got mad. she told me that i am not going out with my friends anymore because i dont listen to her. its boring here in my house. she said that i am grounded for the whole summer! i hate her. she just wants to ruin my life. i cant go out anymore becasue i forgot to throw away the garbage?! im so mad right now. what am i going to do i cant stay here for the whole summer its so boring. i told her i was sorry and that i forgot and now she wont even talk to me. she tells me that i am so lazy because i only want to be with my friends. but i help around the house i do! and when she sees me on the computer she gets mad and says thats the only thing i do. theres nothing else to do here. and when i tell her im bored and to please let me out she gets mad and says "no youre not going out. clean if your bored!" as if thats fun for a 15 year old girl. she wont even let me out. its so boring here. i dont know what to do anymore. help me please anything is helpful.
There might be something going on with your mom's life right now...maybe something at work. One day when she seem slike she is calm and everything, ask her if you two could sit down and talk. Tell her that you really did forget to take out the trash, that there is nothing to do at home and you don't want to clean all the time.
And very calm and gentle say 'Is everything ok? You've been getting really mad the past few days..' and if that doesn't help, then get do some stuff around the house to show that you do want to help out, and if she asks you to do something, do it. And then maybe you could show her that you do listen...(And when you talk to her...don't get mad, just stay calm, and try to act as mature as possible)
