In a couple of days I am going to Dominica, an island in the west indies for a month to do community service with a group of other high schoolers.
Apparently at night it is in the 80's and I am very worried about having trouble going to sleep, because sleeping in hot weather is so hard. all i'm going to have is a sheet, but does anyone have ideas on what i could bring or do at night so I won't be so hot?? I'm extremely worried that I will never be able to get to sleep! (link)

i grew up in the dominican republic and i know exactly what your talking about with the heat and sticky
if your not used to it and you cant sleep i would suggest using a standing fan or during the day freeze washcloths and at night put them on your forehead or wherever your hottest. thats what my mom used to do for us when we were little! good luck hun! and have a safe trip!
