Q: 15/F
Lately, I've been getting really popular, after my first year of high school (I'll be a sophomore now). Anyways, basically, throughout middle school, not a SINGLE guy liked me. Now, I have like a lot of guys wanting me, but thats a different story. So basically, my family doesn't think that I'm popular because of the way I was in middle school (but I wasn't like a loser...). Anyways, I hang out with all these popular guys that want me AND theire ppopular friends like every day now, but my family doesn't know about it. Should I tell my mom that I'm hanging around boys, because she knows them: I went to elementary school with them and she thinks theyre all "sweet." What she DOESN't know is that together, we drink, and occasionally get high. So if I told her, she'd probably suspect that we're drinking, and then forbid me to hang out with them.

I don't really think you need to bring it up. My mum knows I hang out with lots of boys, but not because I told her. If she asks who I was with, I tell the truth, and thats the only way she knows.
So if I were you, I wouldn't bring it up. But tell the truth if she asks who you were with, if she forbids you hang out with them, then hey, hang out with anyway and lie. But she probably wont mind.
Don't be afraid of having them round either. You're mum might say, 'I didn't know you were friends with them!'. Just say, 'Yeah, we're friends now. They're really nice/fun'.
Don't mention drinking or getting high, if she asks say things you did which you know she won't mind, and dont bring up anything else.
