My cat won't stop crying. Literally. Tears are slowly coming out of his right eye, and they have been since yesterday. I don't know what to do. I've been dabbing his eye with a cloth to get the tears off of his face. I think maybe something got in his eye and he's trying to get it out, but could this be serious? Is there anything I can do to help him feel better or stop crying?

There are a lot of reasons why cat's eyes get teary. If it's both eyes getting teary then it might be an allergy or the cat might be sick. But in this case when it is just one eye there are many different reasons why. Is he prone to teary eyes in that eye? If so then he is just tearing. He can have an overactive tear duct. But also it can be something severe such as a Corneal Eye Ulcer which I doubt it is because usually with those, the eye doesn't tear. If your cat starts to get a mucus like substance around the eye, if he starts to scartch the eye either with it's paw or like rubbing it against the carbet or sheets, or if the cat closes it's eye perminently then I suggest you see the vet right away. The eye is a very sensitive organ, so I actually suggest you go right away to be safe! Go to the vet.
