Ask your friends if you want advice that's sugar coated. Ask your coworkers if you want advice that's loaded with ulterior motives. Ask your family if you want brutal answers that really only answer their own issues, and never really address yours. Ask me if you want it straight up. Not shaken or stirred with someone else's issues.

I can't put up with people my own age. I'm fourteen and I just.. Can't. People around my age frustrate me. I can't even date people around my age! It's ridiculous. My father said it's because I've been brought up in a family where my siblings are MUCH older then me. I'm talking about 6-20 years older in range. Apparently I'm quite mature for my age. Is there any way that possibly I could maybe be able to tolerate people my own age? All my friends are 16-19.
Your question asks if there's "any way possible"... The answer to that is yes. You and me are no better than or no worse than any other person. It's worth giving it a try and keeping an open mind around your peers, worst thing that can happen is that you make a connection you didn't think was possible. Okay, I'll cut the bullshit, the worst thing that can happen is that you get stuck in a bunch of lame, meaningless, irritating conversations. Sure, it can grate on you at the time, or you can play their game and later on laugh at their frustrating issues and drama. It's okay to be above all that 14 year old shit, but it's not okay to let other 14 year olds know you think you're superior. Nobody likes arrogance. Keep it real and give them a chance. Some will grow out of the drama faster than others, and those are the people you'll connect with. Life's too short to write people off on first impressions. Chances are we've all blown a few ourselves.
