windows media player ver. 10.000 ....when I
hit burn cd the burn sections says" no cd or dvd
burner is recognized???? what's up with this...

It probably means that your computer or whatever you put the blank CD in isn't capable of burning CDs. Try plugging in different disk players, and if that doesn't work, you'll need to buy one (but make sure that it says something about being able to burn CDs).

EDIT:
O.K., let me get this straight, you're trying to burn a CD through a DVD drive...
O.K. try burning a DVD (movie) through either first, to make sure it has the ability to burn.

(Rating: 1) My Gateway GT5028 personal computer is running
Microsoft Windows xp Media Center Edition 2005.
The computer has a built in DVD +/- drive and a
sperate DVD drive. The problem is that WIndows Media Player does not recognize the drives. I can play a cd but can not burn to a cd thru Windows Media pLAYER. tHIS PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED BEFORE. SOMEBODY GAVE ME THE SOLUTION ON advicenator ABOUT 4 OR 5 MONTHS AGO... i CAN NOT FIND THE SOLUTION.......PLEASE HELP.. i NEED TO BURN....
