okay, I just read this article on anorexia, and now I'm worried I'm going anorexic!! I'm 5"9 and a half and 152 pounds, and I used to eat a lot but lately I've been cutting back so I can lose weight (I walk an hour every day).
I've cut my portions back by about half and instead of eating A LOT of high calorie stuff as snacks/etc i eat healthy low calorie stuff..but now I'm really anal about what i put into my body and etc..and sometimes I'll feel really dizzy inbetween 8 am and 11 am because i eat at 6am and dont have lunch till 11.
I don't even LOOK anorexic, so its not like I'm getting harrassed for it or anything..I'm just worried Im in danger of becoming one because i HATE way-too-skinny people, IMO they look sick and diseased, and I would hate to become anorexic, because in most cases that's losing control (i heard it can be genetic too) and i hate to lose control =P
i only want to lose weight till my BMI hits 19-20 (atm it's 22.4 according to some website), which would be when I'm 135-140 pounds.
so..am i in danger of becoming anorexic? (link)

your BMI is perfectly fine.. your normal, not overweight, or underweight. i dont see why you want to weigh less so much. i mean your already healthy, you dont have to be so close to being underweight to be pretty, or whatever you are trying to achieve by being just over underweight. but i dont think your diet is very safe.. it may be a start at becoming anorexia, which you do not want.
since you want to lose weight, look for healthier ways to do this. trust me, CUTTING BACK ON FOODS ONLY IS NOT VERY HEALTHY. you dont even have to really look at calorie labels and blah. in my opinion they take the joy out of food, unless you are going to the store to buy groceries. then check how many calories they are, but dont fret if they are a little above than what you want, if they are healthy. look at the food pyramid and be sure to eat based on it. eat alot of small portions, meaning that like eat maybe like a little bowl full of cereal (not TOO little, but not big either.) and then 2-3 hours later, your body will have used up all that energy from the cereal, unlike which would happen if you had a large bowl, and the body didnt need all that energy, giving you more fat. by then you'll have another little meal, too. do this like.. all day from when you wake up, but don't eat right before you go to bed, because your body does nothing with that energy, and you'll pack the pounds overnight.
in addition to eating well, be sure to excercise. i dont know what sports you like.. even if its like ultimate frisbee, lol. it doesnt matter. or you can just take to running around the neighborhood once every day. but give yourself a break day. even great athletes do that, because if you keep excercising, your body could break down because it hasnt rested. rest for 1-2 days, depending on if you feel kinda weak. ok and besides running, you can also do aerobics, and like push ups, sit ups, etc. they'll tone your body and you'll shed of a couple other pounds.
dont look at this as a "diet". think of it as a lifestyle change. dont just stop when you hit your goal BMI of 19-20. you may not even get there but who cares. great looking people dont have to weigh so little. you'll have a great body, and remember that muscle weighs more than fat, so you may lose and gain pounds at the same time, but its GOOD FOR YOU! also, if you stop excercising and eating right after you hit your goal, and return to your regular lifestyle, you'll just start gaining unecesary pounds again.
good luck with this. also, you said you were dizzy? make sure that when your excercising you have a good amount of energy (as in, your not tired.) and your not starving but not full (try not to eat until you get full.. eat till your satisfied.. thats another reason people gain pounds, from the extra food your body doesnt need. also, if you run on a full stomach you get cramps! haha same with swimming.), and carry a bottle of water with you.
Lastly, you can have a treat once in a while.. maybe like once or twice a month, eat a little of the high calorie stuff you like. and if you still go trick o treating on halloween, assuming you have 365-366 pieces of candy, make like an advent calendar, where like you eat one little piece of candy a day. if you block out these sweets all the time, you'll crave them even more when you see them, and may not be able to control yourself from not eating them. just dont over induldge.. like and dont eat too many in one day. drink lots of water in a day, too. not too much however, because too much water isnt healthy.. i forget how but my mom told me because shes a nurse and knows that stuff. soda isnt very good for you.. i dont know about you, but it gives me pimples so i just drink juice. juice is sweeter, and has good vitamins in it too. i mean soda has tons of calories too.. maybe good once in a while at parties, if you like it so much.
ok this is the last thing i'll say, haha. if you crave some food for no reason, when you know that you like just ate something else or something, chew on some ice. my mom does that, and she seems to be losing pounds, and getting thinner (she was kinda fat before, since she like just had a baby) too. dont chew on ice all the time, just for little cravings you dont really need. um, and try not to eat out so much. there was this thing on TV about alot of restaurants hiding their calorie thingies, and their foods had as much as 1,200 calories in 1 thing. yeah you dont really need that much. learn to cook if you dont already know, and maybe subscribe to those like cooking magazines with ideas for cool new great tasting foods that arent overflowing with cals.
