My names Shantae.. I have been dating this guy on and off for about a year now. I have a problem though. My parents totally hate him. He's 17 and he use to have a drug problem. My parents didnt know about it until I got really mad one night and spilled. Now, they dont want me anywheres near him. I'm inlove with this boy. When I see him the only thing I want is him to wrap me in his arms and hold me tight, i want him to tell me everythings going to be okay and he loves me more than anything. Right now, we aren't dating. My parents do not approve of anything about him, and I'm afraid that he's goin to leave me if we get back together because they wont let me see him, what do i do? Please give as much advice as you can PLEASE!!! :(

I've had the same problem. My boyfriend is almost five years older than me, but we love each other and it took a long time for me to make my parents realize that. he may not be the best person, but he's the best person for me right now. that's what i told my parents. i stopped fighting with them about it and just sat them down calmy and told them how much he means to me and that i'm really happy and that they should be happy that i'm happy. if you're boyfriend has changed, tell them that. tell him he's gotten better and he's going to try to be better for you. good luck!
