Last year, this guy and I had something going on. We weren't dating though, but we might as well have been.

We both knew it. No one else did. Anytime anyone would ask who he liked, he'd be like "I don't want to go out with anyone".

It doesn't help that my idiot former-friends would call him and bug him forever. So my former-friends, his friends, the girl, and social standings ruined it.

But (from what I can gather), he was too embarrassed to admit that he liked me, because of my burden-friends (who I'm not longer close with), his popularity, and lack-thereof, and this other girl (all american, blond hair, blue eyes. the type of girls he usually likes. he looks like that as well. I'm black, and pretty much the opposite of that) who was "in his league", who liked him as well. So, he basically ended up going with her.

Yes, that was a sucky thing of him to do, but I don't blame him. Because really, who wants to go out with a loser? And not to mention, his best friend hated me, and vice versa.

Now, we've gotten into high school, and things have changed. He's pretty much faded into obscurity (at least from where I'm standing. No one I know knows him), and his popular, always smiling persona is gone.
On the other hand, now, I'm pretty stable, and in social standings, I'm a little well-known.

So, things between him and the other girl basically blew over. They admitted that they "used" to like each other, but as far as I know, they are finished. She treats him like crap, now.

Every time I see him, he stares at me. Just stares. When I walk, I can feel his eyes following me. I used to be in one of his classes, and he'd try and start conversations with me, but they'd end up going nowhere.

I do still like him, deep down inside. Perhaps because he's the first guy that ever liked me back.

I'm irritated. I'd like to get him out of my head, but I can't. And he's not really helping by staring shamelessly. I haven't actually talked to him in some 6 months, because we no longer have classes.

But, I have no idea what to do. I think he may like me a little bit, too. But things have changed. And I wonder why he's been so sad (since the whole incident last year, he's been down, it seems).

What is wrong with him?

Edit: Today, I was standing near him, for the first time in like 4 months. When he noticed I was (I was doing an errand for my teacher), he proceeded to let his mouth hang open, and stare in shock. Then, he slowly walked by JUST so he'd have more time to stare in shock, and to see what I was doing.

I would talk to him; but say what? What is there to say?

Hey I know he did you wrong but why turn the wheel around and do the same it seems like he wants to hook up with you but first you need to fix the broken friendship between eachother 6 months is a long time since yall talked and I think you should be the mature one to start a conversation be nice dont blow him off like his lat girlfriend did and if you still like him why not talk to him to see if he likes you too..

If he seems always down maybe its because your totally ignoring try to become a friend of his if not his girl because hes only down because he does not have you.

I say give him a chance

hope i helped
