I dont want to go to this concert with my friends tonight.
Well, I kind of do, but I don't know if my dad will let me.
What are some excuses to tell my friends (NOT my dad won't let me--I use that too much)
OR
what are some ways to persuade my dad to let me go?

Just ask your dad. If he says yes, go. If he says no, then tell your friends the truth - that he wont let you go - if you lie, your friends might find out and then think that you don't want to spend time with them, rather than the truth that your dad won't let you.
