Maybe I'm just a person who feels this way, but when I give advice, half the people don't even respond to me, like give me a rating. Of course I know it's their decision to rate, but I really don't appreciate the fact that I spend a good amount of time answering a question, and the person doesn't rate me. Does anybody else feel this way? (link)

I just do this to help people, but yeah sometimes it does bother me, but either ways it won't ruin my day or mood because I know I tried to help them anyways. I take my time and usually write these longggggg answers to people(only if needed)!
But just keep in mind that you just want to help the person and the ratings don't matter that much, even though i get happy when someone rates my question...lol..
