Okay, I applied to work at this camp called Camp Wonderland, and it's a place where children and adults who have mental and physical disabilities. If I get hired, I need to find a way to raise money for the five hour drive to get there and back twice. For my car, a full tank of gas is 35 bucks. (145 dollars) And there is a week where we'll have to pay 150 dollars to be able to go out of state. So somehow I need to raise about 300 dollars. What businesses would be good to ask for money? What fundraisers will be good to raise money? If I get this job, I will need the money by May 10th. (link)
My class (sophmore) is really good at fundraisers and we made a lot of money selling chocolate bars during school. I think we made over a thousand dollars. This however is not allowed anymore because of the strict eating habits of the school but that's beside the point. Car washes I've found have also helped raise a lot of money for me (you should wait for the weather to warm up first). We have also sold t-shirts that we made for the specific cause (like saving a pet donkey in the town). Just some ideas that could help you. I don't know of any organizations that would give money... sorry.
