I am a 20 year old guy in college. I have fun helping people with any of their problems. I fell in love with this site when everybody was so nice to me and helped me fix a problem with a girl awhile back, so I'm back to repay the favor. Many times when we have problems we dont think of the most sensible answer. So if you are looking for a little insight and some help, I'm your guy!

It's very possible I am snowboarding this weekend. I've gone skiing before, only twice, but I picked it up pretty well. Not skiing black diamonds yet, but I'm doing decently well on the intermediate slopes. I heard it was easier to learn how to ski before snowboarding so I hope that's true? But I think I will be getting a lesson from an instructor at the mountain for snowboarding... I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for someone who is new to this? Thanks! (link)
I live close to a ski mountain and used to ski nearly every weekend. One time I tried snowboarding and it was very difficult. I think once you are good at skiing it is more difficult to snowboard, so you are in good shape so far. You will fall A LOT. Everybody does. One thing that took me forever to figure out was the best way to get up. Roll onto your stomach first (facing uphill) and get up using your knees. If I had figured that out right away my snowboarding experience would have been much better. Just practice and try not to get frustrated. Have fun too!
