Ok well I was in gymnastics when I was 4 and I went till I was 6. Then I basicly taught myself how to do everything like a front handspring, back walkover, etc. The problem is that I want to do a backhand spring. I know I could probably do it Im just too scared to try. I can do a backflip on the trampoline. So how should I start to do one? Like all the steps? Do I need a running start? Can I build it off of a back walk-over? (link)
A back handspring is a very scary thing to try but the first time is always the hardest. You can build it off of a back walkover but it is a lot different. You don't need a running strat unless you want to do a round-off backhandspring. It is easiest to do on a tumble track or off of a tumble track. Make sure you arch you back when u go back and jump backwards not up. If you need any more specific help let me know.
