I know that this a hackneyed question and it's hard to answer since you as the answerer are not the guy. But really, he's complicated like all the others
So this guy named Tim is in 10th grade and I'm in 9th. I sorta knew him last year but there wasn't much talking going on between us.
This year, he's in both my lunches and I see him at football games sometimes (he's in marching band) and I just see him at random times I guess.
He's always use names like sweety, darling, dearest, beautiful, and such when he's talking to me online. He's really nice and he says I'm beautiful several times. Sometimes he looks at me at lunch and i know this for a fact because everytime he looks at me, I look back and he looks away all of the sudden. And he lets me drink his soda or something when he never lets anyone touch his soda. lol
But the thing is -- I don't know if he likes me or if he's just normaly weird like that. He always hugs everyone..but girls. So he hugs any guys but not girls...and I asked if he was gay several times and he said no. Haha. Anywhos so he hugs guys only, he's never hugged me. He always says how is your beautiful amazing sister doing (my sisters a sophomore at college and he admires her musical talent)
But then again he stays up until like 3am just to talk to me and whne I have to go he says "sweet dreams" and he has never signed off before I have. He always waits until I say I have to go and then he signs off as if the only reason he was online was to talk to me when he was so tired.
I don't know,..he confuses me. Any thoughts on this?

Personally, I think it's kind of strange that he hugs guys and not girls, and he isn't gay? Haha. I don't know, maybe that's just me. Maybe he hasn't come out of the closet yet. I'm guessing that he does have some sort of interest in you considering he stays up so late to talk to you, and he never signs off before you do. It's hard to ask him about it if he's a friend though, because you don't want to make your friendship awkward. Geez, I don't know. Guys are always confusing. Sorry I can't help more. ):
