Q: My friend, Stephanie, called my friend, Ellie, a b*tch behind her back. Ellie asked me if Stephanie called her that and I said "I think so" (it happened weeks ago, so I didn't really remember). Now Ellie's parents did something and Stephanie is in trouble. Stephanie yelled at me and said that it was all my fault. Did I do the right thing by telling Ellie what Stephanie said?

It is fine that you answered your friend Ellie's question with,"I think so." It would have been a lot worse if you answered," Yes! I heard her say it, it was so mean!" It is not all your fault that and Stephanie shouldn't be mad at you, she's the one thats talking about people behind their backs. It would have been worse to lie and pretend that everthing was fine. I think you did the right thing, you were being truthful.
