ok i recently entered a poetry contest and well they wrote me after a while telling me they wanted me in washington d.c with a group of other deserving poets to the internation libary of poetry and the whos who the poet and the poem i think thts a book they wana publish my poem in and they said theres no fee of anything i actually get money for it..do you think its a load of bull ? or is it true? has anyone ever heard of it? well thx in advance... I've done this so many times - and I felt stupid each and every time I did it.
You do not get money for letting Poetry.com publish your poem - they do.
People buy these books for like, fifty bucks a piece, and you don't see a red cent - because it *says* you don't get anything.
All you get is the "glory of having one of your poems published."
It will get published, yes. You don't have to pay anything.
But you WILL NOT get paid for your work.
