Can you replace the earphones that you have that attach to the iPod that comes when you purcahse it? If you can, do you like call them and ask for them to send a new one or what? (link)

Any standard headphones plug into iPods. But if they broke you can call apple and if you bought it a year ago or less they will send you new ones for free. Also, and this isn't guaranteed, they have a new line of headphones now that are better that just came out and they may send you those so that would be awesome
