advice
can anyone give me advice on acting..i want to get better...i have theater at school and i love it..just want to know what makes a great actress..thanksss
This quote really affected me when I saw it on the wal of my Acting Coach's studio:
"Acting is living truthfully under imaginary circumstances."
This quote is so right...when you act you can't really act...you need to be true to the way that character would act. You basically need to react the way you would in a circumstance, but still keep in mind how your character might act differntly as well. Let's say you are doing a scene where you need to cry because your great grandmother died, but in real life this has never happened to you. I know that makes it really hard to react, because you've never experienced that before. However, if you think of something similar...let's say a pet dying, or even a breakup (something sad that HAS happened to you) then you can sort of feel the way the character would feel (sad). However, the object is not to try & "fake cry"...instead you need to REACT to the situation like you would in real life & your reaction will natuarlly lead to the fake crying, instaead of just fake crying being your objective. The same thing goes for happy, excited, scared, ext. If you need more help just IM me at emalieee x3
hope i helped!
