so...my name is Rebecca and I'm 17, going to be a senior in high school . i am currently at either the 2nd or 3rd spot in my class academically, but plan to graduate as valedictorian...so if you have a problem academically I'd love to help! i want to be a journalist (and kind of am), which means i may be a little harsh, but i do have a not-so-sharp edge (don't get me wrong, i can be sassy, I'd just rather smile :) ) . I love knowing that i can help someone and I'm actually of use to someone. My mom won't let me date till I'm 18 whicu basically is never cause once I'm 18 I can date anyways so its never I want to tell her 13 is a good age but I'm too scared of a NO and I just need advice on how to tell her and what I should tell her like reasons point and ideas please help I do not want to get my first bf and 30 or my first kiss at 28 please help me...

Yeah i wouldn't want to either but you should probably wait for a guy you really like and really know to come along to have for your first boyfriend. not just want one because 13 is a good age. if you have that talk about him with your mom; let her know he's a really good friend and you really like him and you aren't goona make any stupid mistakes. let her know your independent and you want to be responsible for your own actions and even if she thinks it's a bad idea ane she just doesn't want you to get hurt tell her you have to make your own mistakes. otherwise you may just end up being rebelious and doing something you'll regret. tell her you need to be able to think for yourself; you have to grow up and decide what's best for you, what will make you happy and stronger and more independent(etc.). bottem line talk to her, don't worry. i seriously doubt your first kiss will be at 30.
