I was in this same sititation, what you need to do, is talk to your really good friend and tell her how you feel about her ex, see how she reacts, and ask if she is ok with it. if she is great, when he comes over make moves, talk to him, flirt, do what girls do best! lol, feel around the edges of this guy see if he likes you. if your friend is not ok with you going with her ex, you might want to chill with the guy and don't make any moves. because if you go behind her back then that will only cause problems between the friendship. so talk to her first, get her reaction, and by her reaction move or don't move on the guy. if she is not cool with you going with this guy wait a while and see like in a couple weeks or a month and talk to her again and see how she feels. if she has a problem with you going with her ex, either she is still hurt by the break-up, she is being selfish and not caring about your feelings, or the friendship is not so tight as you may think. but dont' ever let a friendship come inbetween a relationship with a guy. hope this helps.
