about

Hello All,
I am counsellor with over 12 years experience specializing in parenting, families, youth and mental health. I answer questions in a blunt and straightforward way so if you are looking for coddling or really touchy feely type advice thats not me I provide real solutions for your problems and concrete suggestions in other words I tell you the plain truth I don't sugarcoat.

I am really worried these days with the easy access to the internet and all the false information that is out there and the fact that people believe it!! So please ask first. I don't claim to have all the answers but I can claim that NOTHING will shock me you can try though :)

I look forward to hearing you thoughts and questions.

advice

Can having surgery affect your period? cause i just had my appendix out, and now my periods all weird. This never happens, so i'm kinda worried!

Its very likely that the surgery has affected your period. Your body was traumatized, any change to your body could cause a 'chain-reaction' in your body, one thing leads to another... When you go to the doctor for follow-up I would mention it to him and see what he says. Also if you are in your teens even if you have always been regular due to your constant hormonal changes your time could change. By the way if you have started hanging out daily or almost all the time with a female friend, your cycle could change to hers, sounds really odd I know but you can look it up it happens when women work together alot or live together etc...

Hope this helps.
