I was just away all weekend camping with some of my old and new est friends and I got about 50 misquito bites just on my legs. They itch like nobody's bussiness but I don't want to itch them. Does anybody have any remedies for itchiness that actually work? I've already tried the ice cube and rubbing alcohol (as suggested by friends) and, while they work, they hurt lie crazy!
Also, does anybody have any ways to avoid being bitten? I'm not sure if its possible because I wore long pants and a TON of insect repellent, but I'm going back to camp (but a different one) for two weeks in the middle of the summer and don't want to be itchy the whole time!
I use Benadryl on my mosquito bites. I find it helps a lot better than anything else I've tried.
According to my dad, mosquitos hate Vitamin B, so I would recommend going to the drug store and getting a bottle of daily vitamins with at least 100% of your daily value of Vitamin B. Do this soon, and take them EVERY DAY before and while you're there. But you should still use ridiculous amounts of bug spray.
Good luck at camp, and I hope I helped!
