Why is it that so many girls freak out about their boobs being too small? I see so many questions about girls who think that because they have small boobs, they won't get any guys. That is not true at all.
But that really isn't the issue, I guess. I myself have quite the chest. I'm a 38 D, and still growing somewhat. It is painful sometimes, especially around periods, and frustrating, because it is near impossible to find shirts that fit, or decent bras.
So when I see these girls who think their lives are over because they are 16 and they aren't Jessica Rabbit, it makes me angry. They have no idea what larger chested women have to deal with! To me, it seems they have it easy. They don't have to worry about aching backs, or not being able to wear a beautiful shirt or dress because it is too tight at the bust, or too loose everywhere else.
How can I keep from being so angry with them? I know that they don't understand, and I know it isn't worth fussing over, but I just can't help it.
Thank you all so much! (link)

I'm something of an expert in this field - 27 years old and have been a 34AA bra size since I was about 12. Reasons why I'm very bothered by my small boobs, and think I'm well within my rights to complain now and then:
1. I can't find a bra that fits me. Forget your concern about "decent" bras, I have been through entire department store lingerie sections with nothing to show but a pang of envy at all the larger women buying pretty things.
2. I can't find many other clothes to fit me properly. Not just fitted shirts (although they're terrible) but most other clothes for the top half make me look like a 12 year old boy. I work in a professional office environment and my jackets are all baggy around the chest. Talk about looking like a kid playing dress-up!
3. Men AND women insult me about my chest, and have done on a fairly regular basis for the past 15 years. It still hurts. And I now frequent the cycling class at the gym rather than stripping down to do laps in the pool - even though I do prefer swimming.
4. I don't have enough breast tissue to fill out a push-up bra, so I can't even convincingly PRETEND to have boobs.
5. Despite my moderately curvy lower-half, I'm too scrawny on the top half to consider getting a boob job, because I don't have enough flesh to hide the edges of the implants enough.
6. At least if I had large breasts, I could get a REDUCTION (to say a B-cup), so I would be an hourglass rather than pear-shaped!
You are right about guys (I don't have any issues attracting them) but I still wish a guy - ANY guy - would sneak a look at my chest just ONCE in my life, as if there was something worth seeing.

You know, I'm really happy to have a response like this, actually. Something intelligent and well thought out from the other end of the spectrum.
Thank you. We both have some of the same problems, like not having clothes that fit, or dealing with jokes and insults about our chests.
It wasn't someone like you I was upset with. It is the 16 year old girls who think they'll be old maids because they are a size A or a small B. They want a larger chest just because they think it will make them more popular.
Again, thank you so much for an intelligent response.
