my hair is originally light brown with a few natural highlights- im wanting to go blonde- and i have been for a long time. the only thing is- i dont know if i can rust myself to do it- to get like, my whole head done. another thing- i KNOW i couldnt trust someone else to do it for me- so id rather do it on my own. i dont want to spend too much on the dye- and walmart sells the revlon colorsilk dyes for 3 dollars a box. anyone know if thats a good brand? and will dying my hair lighter make it come out some funky color or what? any help would be grand! You can try a natural kind like herbal essences natural instincts. First, you could also try a semi permanent dyes. Even though you don't want somebody else to do it ,that might be the best solution just make sure that it is a trained hairdresser that you usually go to and you trust. You can also try to lighten it gradually, like start by adding more blonde highlights so that when you dye your entire head it doesn't look so shocking and it looks more natural. Good luck!

thank you so much- but the weird thing is- i tried a blonde semi- permanent- but it made my hair its original brown. it was weird. because ive peroxided my hair to make it a little bit lighter- the blonde semi permanent just like, restored it.
