I've never had a boyfriend befor. Whenever im upset i just want one so bad because i want the feeling someone loves me and that there is someone there i can talk to. I think im pretty and so do my friends but im a little chuby. Im blonde,tall,pretty eyes, and im very nice. The only problem is that im really shy. I try to be outgoing but i care to much about what people think. How do i get over that? How do i get a b/f? Thanks to everyone that answers my question and ill rate high for good answers.

ok, first of all, i know the feeling. when you want a b/f, but you don't have one. been there. recently. you need to know this first-someone loves you. someone will always love you, even if it's not a b/f right this moment in your life. so, to answer your first question, "how do i get over being shy and caring about what people think?" well, getting over being shy can be tough. i used to be shy and i'm...well, i'm really very UNshy. VERy unshy. if you want to be more outgoing, start with what you say. try talking a bit more, or saying things a tad daring. i don't know if you are below/above this, but here is an example:

you normaly would say: oh dear. i lost my book.

outgoing person says: crap! i lost my book.

crap is a pretty small cuss word, but it's more outgoing and bold than oh dear. that can also work with what you wear. if you wear conservative clothing, try wearing tighter clothes, or shirts that show a wee bit 'o' tummy.
trying not to care what people think. that is one problem girlfriend that most in this world face. and here is all i can say to help you: just pretend. if you want to wear a flashy, sexy top but you are afraid/you know that people will make fun of you or question you about it, pretend they won't. when you walk out of the house, wear the top and wear it proud. and if you are questioned, get right in there and defend yourself:

questioner: why are you wearing that?
you: because i want to. i think it's cute!

how do you get a b/f? this is gonna sound cheesey-BE YOURSELF. if no one at your school/work place seems to be interested in you, than that's their problem. don't change you just so you can get a b/f. it's not worth it. a great guy will come along eventualy, and you will get him no problem. just wait. and don't try to hard. that really will get you no where. ;-)
