Since this comes up so often, let's make this very clear: You can not pick and choose where you want to lose fat. Exercising your abs will make your abs strong - but losing tummy fat is dependent on your body fat percentage and genetics.

It's a group mentality thing brought out by individuals being dumb. Consider it a way of them removing themselves from the Potentially Dateable field.
Heh. Most girls I've dated have been fat chicks. Maybe it's my spectrum of friends, but we never make fun of fat girls. No, we make fun of dumb people, who can be all shapes and sizes.
