Q: here is the background knowledge you need to know. I have a lil bro . I am in 11grade. he is in 9th. I am the smart one. top of the class, honour roll and all sorts of crap. My lil bro is on the point of dropping out. for midsemester he got like 5 Fs (out of 10). My mom depends on me to ve the good example to him.
OK
now, today after class, I was on the bench outside od my class. My friend showed me a copy of the Chemistry test we are supposed to get tomorrow. So all of us on the bench (my freinds only) start to work it out and copy the answers for ourselves. NOW, my lil bro just comes out of nowhere and sees me copying down the answers. He was in a hurry and did not say anything but I think he saw me. what to do ?
and if he asks me when he gets home, what should I say?
i don't want him to think copying is the way to go.

You need to sit your brother down together, after school when you are home. I'm in a similar situation (I get really good grades on the honor roll, and my sister who's 2 years younger than me is an average student.) My parents want me to be a good example to her. It's great that you're trying to look out for your brother, but you have to figure out a solution that won't get you in trouble either. Talk to your brother. Ask him what he saw and what he thinks you were doing. If you're lucky, he hardly saw anything, and you won't have to mention it. If he knows what you were doing, tell him honestly how you feel. Tell him that cheating is wrong, and you would be disappointed if you ever found him cheating. Tell him the reason that you did it, and that you know it was wrong, and don't do it often. Make it like half-lecture, half-heart-to-heart. Be firm but compassonate. Good luck! :)
