Q: Alright. How old do you have to be to get an abortion? I know that you can get it done at any age, but do you have to have a parent with you or can you have an adult 18 or older?
I'm 14. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant or anything. Just incase. And I don't really need you to tell me that I'm a slut, skank, or whore because I had sex with my boyfriend of a 1/2 year. I would like someone that has had an abortion to answer this question, if that's possible.

It actually depends on what state you live in.. some states you dont need parental consent,and others you need it up until you're 18.. and i remember i read about it on a site thats >> www.coolnurse.com you'll have to search through the website to find it, but i'm 100% sure its on there, if i have time later, i'll search for it and get you the exact site and edit my answer to give it to you

Hey, you asked me to edit my answer for you and give you a clearer answer then the site did, i read that too and it confused me, but i think that it isn't being enforced legally, but they are trying to pass it, but my guess is that some clinics force it, and others don't..so my best guess would be that each clinic is different, so you would have to call around to see which ones enforce it. good luck if you have to get one

The Law: Currently, you do not need parent permission to have an abortion. However, there is a law which requires girls younger than 18 to get permission from one parent to have an abortion. This law is not being enforced because of a court order. Call a clinic for more information.
If you could edit your answer& tell me what they mean by having no law or law, so like if i went to the place to get an abortion my parent would or wouldn't have to know, they don't make it very clear.
