Well, I adore singing.. to me.. it's a way of life. I do it 24-7.
I don't really know if I could ever do it infront of anyone other than myself! I'm so affraid that I will mess up, or people will hate my voice. Personally? I love my voice... but they always say, "Sometimes, you hear what you want to hear, not what is heard by others." I don't know what to do. In a few months.. I'll be moving to Tennessee to live with my Father. He says that Nashville is a land of opertunity for me. (he and my step-mother are the only ones I've ever sang infront of) Well, my Step-Mother, is persuing her singing career. And I'm SO happy for her. She has the prettiest voice.. EVER I'm not sure what to do..
Anyone have good advice for me?
Thanks..

I can totally relate to what you're feeling, and so can any singer, ever who is starting out in front of the audience. Feeling nervous and fearing mistakes are totally normal behaviors for something so public. My opinion is that you should sing anyway, despite the fear. My friends who have been in your shoes say once you get going and you start feeling the music, your worries dissolve and you feel amazing. It's what keeps so many singing and what causes others to pursue the fame. So, just go for it, what's the worst that could happen? If you sang and were the worst one there, you could just laugh it off and be like "Yea, I know I suck, my step-mom made me do it" and then skip the public, or if you were awesome like I'm sure you will be, you will have made it over the first, and largest, obstacle in your music career. Have fun, go for it, and good luck! :)
