My parents always used to fight well now its were, my dad sleeps on the couch, and my mom doesnt talk to my dad they ignore each other. my dad had a "family meeting" a few years ago and told us he was leaving . but then saw us crying he didnt go (is it wrong to wish he have left?) he starts this thing now that since my lil brother is in foot ball and is the only son living there i have to do everything, and he is ALWAYS yelling at me when my mom is sleeping or if my mom is at work. i couldnt take it any more last weekend i blew up i told him to back off and leave me l aone i called my mom and she said ignore him so thats what i been doing well now im supose to be grounded from the computer but i dont listen to him and plus he aint home. but now im grounded for ignoring him!! i dont know what to do any more. please help i wish hed leave . but its not working.

You know, in protest I'd act ungrounded, because your mother said to ignore him, and why would you be grounded for following your mother's orders?

It doesn't make sense.
Just treat him as if he has no power over you.

What's the worst that could happen?
Okay, you'd get hit, and it'd be legal if it were in your best interest, but I think that it really wouldn't be, because you'd be hit for following your mothers orders which then would become abuse.

I don't know if you get the logic in that.

All in all, just keep ignoring him like your mother said, and by that do what you would if your mother was around and you weren't grounded.

Some people really don't deserve to be parents, and if he's just sticking around, because he doesn't like to see you cry, then he's sticking around for the wrong reasons. He should be there to support you, care for you, and love you.
