Most people like to have pets so that they can feel that unconditional love that they give. I know that pets will tend to play with those that give them lots of attention. This puppy must just feel that you are a good friend to his owner. Give your friend a tip. Whenever you are around tell your friend to give the puppy a treat when he responds to her even though you are around. The puppy will feel rewarded for giving her attention and will soon learn to pay more attention to her. Good Luck.
