what is hte best type of birth control. my fiance and i want to have sex but i told him not until i am on birth control. he said "we can use condoms" and i told him no, b/c i don't want an accident. im 18 and i dont need a baby right now. he understands, but i want to have sex with him so bad. that is why i want to get on birth control, but i dont know what kind of birth control is the best. i have looked into the different kinds and i am down to the pill, the monthly shot, and the three month shot. which is better or any advice on which one is hte best one to use. what are side effects and thigns like that. please help me out! I know absolutely nothing about birth control. But I would like to say though, that nobody on here is in the position to tell you what method of birth control is best for you. Only a doctor who is familiar with you and your health needs can tell you which form of birth control you should use. My advice to you would be to schedule an appointment with a doctor and ask about it. Mention any concerns you may have, and ask any questions that pop into your mind. Your sexual health is an important thing..which is why I don't think you should be asking people on here, since everybody is different and something that works well for one person might not be the best option for another. One more thing, though. Remember that birth control doesn't protect against STD's, and that unless you both have been tested for all STD's and are both not having sex with anybody else, you should still use condoms even after you've found a birth control plan that fits your life.
