Q: "We have been punished with hurricanes and tsunamis because we are slowly taking G-d out of everything!!"
You do realize the hurricanes and tsunamis destroyed many churches, even killing many of innocent people who honestly believe in God, right?
And do you think a God that woud indiscriminately punish the innocent is worthy of worship?
What evidence have you that God caused these hurricanes and tsunamis? I always thought weather conditions and naturalistic explanations were the cause!

Yes, you are right about there not being evidence!! DOn't get me wrong. NOthing is ever proved religious wise. You can't even be sure of ANYTHING!!! I am Jewish so we definately have different views here. I'm just stating my own.
Have you ever heard of the story about how God was going to destroy this villliage because the people there were bad? This man came to G-d and said If I brought you 1 rightgeous person, would you not destroy the town? He said no. If you haven't heard the story I it is about how the innocent sadly must be punished too! Everyone as a WHOLE is punished.
"And do you think a God that woud indiscriminately punish the innocent is worthy of worship?"- I have no comment on this because as I said, I am Jewish and there are no views on that in Judaism.
I think your original question was about a petition right? Well, you're definately good at debateing. Maybe I just wasn't expecting all this!
Any other questions, feel free to ask!!

Well, I didn't ask the question about the petition. I just noticed your response there so decided I'd ask. I have read the Old Testament, and the story you are referring to is that of the Sodomites. Personally, I find the Old Testament to be a despicable, vile book full of evil. People are told to sacrifice animals, other people, and to wipe out women and children in neighboring nations! I realize you don't feel the same way as me, but even if there were any evidence of such a God's existence, I personally would refuse to worship it.
But you did a good job cutting to the heart of my criticism, which basically relied on a subjective evaluation of your God. Simply because I find Him unworshipable doesn't mean that you don't.
My name on here is Saint_gasoline, if you'd like to comment further or even just call me names and insulte me, heh.
