tomorrow is 'decade day' at school and i need some ideas. so far i have a..black and white polka dot tank top and a longist black poofy skirt. i have alot of black high/low top converse..so would this make some sort of style from the 60's, or 80's?? i dont want to do the 70's because i dont want to be like a hippie. I also have a lot of jewelry of alot of types like beads or stars or black with stars..etc. same thing with bracelets i have alot fo those. So i just need to know if this is okay..and i need alot of suggestions because i wanna look cool!! Thank you guys!

Hippies belong to the 1960s more so than the 1970s. The 1980s are easier to pull off. Just talk to your parents. A lot of striped shirts seemed to be in on kids those years, New Kids this or that, a ton of bands and really weird hair like mullets. Your parents can help there. 1990s still qualifies considering the decade is over but is still too easy to re-create. I would ask for a bit of guidance. It is hard for you to re-create an era on your own you never lived in. If you want to look right ask an adult that lived it.
