Q: For my boyfriend's semi formal, they are doing a small type dance with cocktail dresses. I'm not quite sure what a cocktial dress is. If anyone could help me out or send a link with something or whatever. I'd apreciate it alot!!

I think a coctail dress is a dress that ends either at the knee or within a few inches of the knee. And it DOES flare out at the bottom.
