Hey there,
Having REALLY dark brown hair myself I know that if you ever try and high light it with any kinda bleach it will keep changing colour for a while.
There ain't much you can do about it other than this.......
If it starts getting dull then once you have shampoo'd and conditioned your hair rinse it in lemon juice and cold water.
If it ever get's a ginger tint to it or goes green after you have swum in chlorinated water then (i know it sounds gross!) then put a bottle of tomato ketchup in your hair - put it in a hoy wrap (a hot towle wrapped REALLY tightly round yer head!) for 10 minutes and it'll change it back to the colour it's meant to be.
In my opinion though dark hair is sexier - and if you ask most men they will say the same too..... apparently it makes us look more mysterious!!!!
Take Care

Sorry - didn't see the last line of your question!!!
Am gettin old now - lol - eyesight is not what it should be - LMBO!!!
You should have a good look around the place where you live cos most have a "Trainee" night where you get chaep colours/high or low lights just cos the person doing it is a trainee, they do have a professional watching over them though and like I said if anything goes wrong or you aren't happy with it then you can ask them to put it right and it won't cost you anything.
