I'm gonna try out for Cheerleading which is really out of character for me. Its like an image change thing but what kinds of things do i work on?
first of all work on flexcibility you need flexcibility for jumps, splits, tumbling, and bunch other
second strength if your short and thin you will probably end up flying in a stunt so u have to work on tightness if your taller but still skinny you will probably be a spot and if your tall and have more strength you will prob be a base but for all you got to work on arm and leg strength
also in a jump you have to work on kicks and other leg exercises to get your legs up high and get them down really fast! you need a lot of leg strength for a proper jump and flexicibilty
for moves you should search on a site for motions like high-V and how the spiral is facin out and dont have broken rists or thumbs hangin everywhere! you should really look on sites to see basic motions! BE TIGHT! its the most important tight and sharp motions
you also can work on smiling and dancing using cheer moves!
now when people say cheerleading isnt a sport its bullshit because you need alot of flexicibility and alot of strength you cannot look sloppy! that is the problem with our cheer squad some ppl look sloppy arent doing the right thing and dont do streches enuf and work strength! i and two other girls are the only one that can hit a jump on our squad and that is really bad coz we are more then 3 for sure and one thing ALWAYS LISTEN NEVER ARGUE YOU WILL NEVA LEARN IF YOU ARGUE WITH THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW BETTER THEN YOU !!!!! JUST LISTEN AND DO WHAT THEY TELL YOU TO DO!!!! coz this is another problem in our cheer squad the give ideas of stupid stuff and wen we tell them they are doing something wrong they are like no we arent! and its like yes you are we know better then you! so yehhh
