Q: My sister is coming to visit me from out of town. She has 2 kids ages 1 and 3. I don't have kids of my own and am a single guy, which means I know nothing about having little kids around the house. Can someone maybe give me some tips on what I might need to do to childproof my house before they get here? I don't want my nephews getting hurt!
put away all glass , move sharp corners away like from a table , keep medicine high up , put away any little things that a child can swallow , set up an area for them , dont have heavy objects on the floor that a child can pull on and fall on them , pick long wires up or phone cords a child can get tangled and they can get it stuck around their neck choking them , same with the string for the blinds they can get their neck around it and choke and die ,no plastic bags around if they put it over their head they can sufficate , put the plastic things over the outlites , table clothes should be eliminated because they can pull on them and all the things on the table will fall on them , gate any room you dont want them in , make sure knives , staples , any thing shap is away and thats pretty much it .

Thank you
