I wanted to get Emancipated because I live with my dad and he constantly give me put downs, and so does his wife, linda my step mom. My moms an alcholic, and was abusive too me when I was a child now we have a realationship but I can't live with her. I need to get out, because this faily is driving me nuts, I feel so horrable at home I drive myself crazy... I have two jobs, enoguh money, live in VA, and have another place to live, with my retired boss, who's 61. She'd watch over me, and take care of me, untill im 21..
I work really hard im a great student and am well rounded. But I'm 15..Is there anyway I could get emanciapated? If so how, and etc. Thanks ! (link)

Unfortunately, in the state of Virginia (where I live), you cannot become an emancipated minor until you are sixteen, even though you can support yourself on your own, because you have not yet reached the age of majority.
That said, I suggest you get in touch with your retired boss and ask her if she can help you obtain some counseling, because this is truly a sticky situation. I wish you luck.
