i got mine pierced last december. it only hurts for like 3 seconds. it hurts when the piercer clamps the pieve of skin about your belly button, and it hurts when the piercer sticks a needle in your skin to make the hole. i closed my eyes during most of the precedure because i thought it was goin to hurt like hell, but when i opened my eyes, i saw a cute belly button ring on me and it was totally worth the pain.
the only thing that can go wrong when you have a belly button ring is when your piercing gets infected. when it gets infected, you have to consult with a doctor and he/she will give you some medicine to disinfect it.
