alright. this will be long.
me and my boyfriend have known eachother since kindergarden. we went out in sixth grade, and broke up after 4 months of seeing eachother.
i am in love with him, and he knows it, because we have been going out again since the 2nd. last night he told me he loved me as well.
my parents do not approve of him though. i think it is because my mom thinks he lies to me (which he doesnt) and my dad never liked any boy i went out with (because that's just how dads are) my sister doesnt like him, either, and i dont know why she doesnt.
how can i get my family to approve of him?
A lot of the time, parents don't approve because they're trying to protect you, even if there's nothing to protect you from. Let your parents get to know him, invite him over the house or something like that. Your sister probably doesnt like him because she either, KNOWS what boys are like, or DOESNT know what boys are like, if you catch what im saying.
Just let them all get to know him, im sure with time they will be able to form some kind of trust for him.
