I think I love my best friend, but I still kind of like this other guy. I have no idea if I love him as a close friend or more than just a friend. He has a girlfriend, but I just have no idea on how to tell him how I feel about him without becoming all nervous around him. How do I tell him, without getting butterflies in my stomack?

Dear Confused Teen,
Wow, the same thing happened to me when I was 13 years of age. Well, I was in love [literally] with this guy and the best part was, he was my best friend. Everyone always would tell me, "never go out with your best friend!" but I never listened. Just follow your heart [I know that is so pointless to say but still] if you think you like him, just tell him [I know that is SUCH a hard thing to do... trust me!] But, maybe he'll like you too and if you don't tell him then someone else might take him from you. I used to hate seeing my best friend that I like, loved go out with someone else... it drove me nuts! Make it casual, not a big deal! "Hey, I've been holding this in and I just wanted to tell you that I really like you and well, that's that." Work up to it though girl, take time! I really hope I helped!
