I've always used a note to break up with someone because I'm shy and when I break up with my boyfriends, I wouldn't be able to look them in their face or be able to talk because I'd be so nervous. So my question is: What's the best way to break up with a guy? You know, like note, phone, in person, online? (link)

The thing wiht breaking up with ppl through notes is that they'll always have it to remember you brekaing up wiht them with or they could show it to some one or somehting... and plus, most guys really don't like when girls break up with them that way. I think the best way to break up with a guy is in person. Go up to them and ask to talk to them alone for a minite tell them how you feel, that you think it'd be better if you broke up, why you think that, and add in little things on your own. I dont think it's a good idea to say, 'i just want to be friends'. Guys do not think thats a good reason at all...I learned that the hard way. On the phone isnt the best way either because it'd be akward afterward. Like after you broke up with them what're you going to say? Who's gonna hang up first? But if you wanted to break up that way you could end with 'I'll see ya tomorrow' or something. And same thing with doing it online. Oh, and another way to do it is write them a note saying the reasons why you want to break up with an apology or w/e u want it to say and then break up with them IN PERSON and after you do that you hand them the note.
