Okay so I'm thirteen years old and I just got my period yesterday. I was at a pool party that day and my friends gave me a tampon, instructions, and locked me in a bathroom trying to get me to put the damn thing in. It was ''regular'' size (Tampex with the yellow code or w/e) and it hurt soooooooooooooooo much! I had the tip in and then after that it hurt soo much, it wouldn't go in. I just bought Playtex ''Lites Junior'' or something and I'm too afraid to put it in. Help! (link)

Sorry but i have not started yet i am 12 and i think you should start with pads first and switch to tampons when you are ready or if you are going to be in the pool alot you should try to put a tampon in.
